Finding Legitimate Internet Home Business Opportunities

By: Trent Brownrigg

There’s an abundance of home business opportunities on the internet for you to choose from. The problem is knowing which internet home business opportunities are legitimate, which ones are borderline, and which ones are outright scams. So, how do you know? That is what I am going to answer in this article.

One thing you can do is go to some of the top home business websites on the internet and see what opportunities they are recommending. Be careful when doing this though because most of them are promoting these internet home businesses as affiliates, so their opinions can be very biased. However, if there’s an opportunity that most of these websites are commonly promoting there’s a strong chance it’s a good one. Or if the owner is promoting many home business opportunities you can email them and ask which one they recommend the most.

You can also go to home business forums and ask the members what they think about an opportunity you want to get some feedback on. It’s best to ask in a few different forums and see what the overall consensus is among the members. If most of them have positive things to say about it then it’s probably a legitimate internet home business opportunity. If you are getting mostly negative reviews or if it’s pretty much neutral then move on to another opportunity.

Another way to see what other people think about a home business opportunity is to go to Google and do a search for the name of the opportunity plus review. Let’s say the program you are looking into is named “Successful Home Business Future Team” as an example. So you would go to Google and search for “Successful Home Business Future Team Review” or “Successful Home Business Future Team” +Review. This will give you many reviews of what other people have said about the opportunity. Again be careful here because many of these reviews will be biased opinions of people who are affiliates of the program. Find some that seem to be unbiased and see what they say.

One more great way to find legitimate internet home business opportunities is to seek out a few very knowledgeable people who have been in the industry for a long time and get to know them. After a while you will know if they are helpful and honest. If they are you can always ask their opinions on any home business opportunity you find.

Those are four of the best ways to find out if an internet home business opportunity is legitimate or not. You can’t go around crying if you happen to get scammed because you didn’t do your homework on an opportunity before getting involved with it! There are enough legitimate internet home business opportunities out there that you don’t have to take a shot in the dark on one just because it was the first one you came across.

By: Tammy Embrich

Are you practicing the skills of article marketing?

Do you know that article marketing is one of the best free promotion tools for monetizing your website?

Good quality content will always be in big demand for webmasters. They are eargerly searching for useful information that will benefit their readers. A webmaster will return to your site again and again if your content is right for their market. Wouldn’t it be a nice complement if you would find your article in the next issue of a publisher’s newsletter or ezine? On that note…wouldn’t it be flattering to see an article you have written years ago on someone’s website?

This is the sole reason for article marketing…getting your writing featured in various directories, high-traffic websites, blogs, and forums. By marketing with articles, you are establishing your credibility and trustworthy reputation online…and the end result spells profit.

If you’ve been dabbling in article marketing for awhile, why not take it to the next level by converting it into even more profit? How you ask?

There are sites that you can actually be compensated for your writing. Yes, that’s right! You can be paid for writing articles. Why not make even more money with your articles? Do I have your attention now?

I am listing four of the most popular article writing sites below

helium.com-Get paid for your articles, enter contests, and more

ehow.com-They have an awesome article writers compensation program and pay monthly through paypal.

associatedcontent.com-They pay for articles and pay through paypal.

constantcontent.com-This is a members-based site where your articles are purchased.

Important: The sites above are for USA members only. Read all the information carefully on each site for full details.

There are also other writing opportunities for you to make more income if you are currently writing articles…or writing in general. If you’ve accumulated a collection of articles that have been written by you, why not create an ebook including a compilation of your articles and sell it? There are many marketers out there that are doing this and quite successfully. The earning possibilities are endless with ebooks. Another possibility would be to offer marketing courses and sell them as ebooks. Something else to think about, you can start your own ebook affiliate program for even more profit.

Do you like blogging? If so, there are many blogging opportunities available to add to your streams of income. Many bloggers and webmasters are willing to pay for your writing services. Blogs have become increasingly popular and as a result…a lot of webmasters are converting their websites over to blogs. They also rank faster in search engines then a standard website due to constant updating with blog entries. An excellent place to start looking for blogging jobs is problogger.net. Click on “Job Board” to get started searching.

Freelance writing would be another option you could look into to make some extra income. Some webmasters simply don’t have enough time for all their projects and are looking more into outsourcing. Maybe they need book reviews or press releases written…it could be a wide variety of things. They then hire freelance writers to get the job done.

Some good places to start looking into freelancing

Guru.com
Allfreelancework.com
Elance.com

As you can see, there are many writing options open to you if you have been writing for awhile. Take full advantage of your writing skills. There are a lot of possibilities out there if you are willing to do the work.

Secrets of High Performance Affiliates

By: Russell Brunson

One of the best parts about internet marketing is that it’s easy to get started. You don’t need a lot of money to start an internet business—when compared to brick-and mortar businesses a generation ago. The best internet business model to start if you’re wet behind the ears is affiliate marketing.

Since you’re selling other people’s products, you don’t have to deal with the hassles of customer service and shipping out products. This article will reveal the secrets of high performance affiliates you can use to make a lot of money online. One closely guarded secret of high performance affiliates is the ability to choose the right market. In your quest to become one of the elite high performance affiliates, take a look at the marketplace to see what people are buying. Go into bookstores and see what magazines are on the rack and which books people are buying. You can guarantee that high performance affiliates are camping out at the bookstores doing research on which market is in demand.

Of course, there are a group of high performance affiliates that go right for the gusto and enter the most competitive markets possible. These include weight-loss, dating, golf, self-improvement—among others. The demand in these niches has been constant for decades and will continue to be. Therefore it behooves high performance affiliates to do their best to stake their claim of the affiliate pie in these niches. High performance affiliates also conquer smaller niches that most people don’t think about right away. Small niches such as croqueting, knitting, and scrap booking are rife with high performance affiliates who are making a killing promoting off-the-beaten-path products.

To seek out these niches, you’ll have to do more research, as the average high performance affiliate misses these niches altogether. Check out directory sites such as Yahoo.com or take a look at eBay to see what people are buying. High performance affiliates know that if people are buying products on eBay and online stores, they have money to spend and are willing to pay anything to satisfy their desire. So, how do high-performance affiliates conquer their niches and out marketing their competition. Simple: they turn themselves into master marketers.

High performance affiliates spend gobs of money on continuing education—such as books, seminars, audio books, and newsletters. High performance affiliates know the importance of a superb education, and know that while their competition is wasting time watching “American Idol,” they’re hitting the books so they can kick their tail. To learn how to become a high performance affiliate, go get this free video and discover affiliate marketing secrets of one of internet marketing must lucrative wunderkinds.

The Importance Of Page Rank–Still All The Rage?

By: Tammy Embrich

What’s all the hype about page rank? Is it really that important?

A lot of webmasters seem to think so.

Will you get more traffic to your website if you have a high page rank? Not necessarily so…

Let’s face it…to have a successful website, you need targeted traffic and lots of it. Do you need a high page rank to get that traffic?

The answer to that question is a simple “no”…I have seen many sites with a page rank as low as (0) crawl up high on the search engines. It seems that page rank is no longer that important to a website’s success.

What IS important is how a site ranks on the search engines. Good search engine rankings are what all webmasters should strive for. You will need to build a website with good, useful content and keep adding that content…the search engines love it! The more content you add, the better the search engines will find you.

Articles are a perfect way to add content and also specific keywords to your website. In fact, article marketing itself has been the most effective promotion that I’ve personally used to market my work at home sites. Submitting useful articles with keywords that relate to your business to various directories and forums has become considerably popular in the marketing world.

This will also bring you more incoming links, and this is what will make you rank higher in search engines. Trial and error has proven this time and time again. Actually, getting more incoming links will help both your page rank and your search engine ranking.

Sure…a high page rank will always help your website. But, it’s not the most important key for success. The key to a steady flow of traffic is consistently adding fresh content for your visitors. And the end result is more customers and sales.

Designing Your Direct Sales Business Card

By: Audrey Okaneko

How can you create a business card that serves a purpose? Here are a few ideas:

1. Make the business card a coupon. Like all business cards, you’ll want to put your name, phone number, email address and URL on the card, but also offer some type of coupon. Perhaps you’ll offer a free shipping code. Or perhaps you’ll offer a 10% discount on their first order. Putting a coupon on your business card give people a reason to hang on to your card.

2. Write down the name of a book you’re recommending on the back. When I enter into conversations with people, I often turn the conversation to a book I’ve read. If I’ve read a book that answers a question from the conversation I’m involved in, I’ll write the author’s name and book title on the back of my business card.

3. Jot down notes. I recently met a woman in Starbucks. She was asking my daughter about an overseas trip she took. The woman had many questions. I handed her a business card and invited her to email me with her questions and told her we’d both be happy to answer any questions she might have. I did not have to write a note as the woman took out a pen and jotted down the connection so she could follow up.

4. Write down a referral on the back of your card. For example, if you are speaking to someone and they ask for a restaurant recommendation or a doctor recommendation. Write the asked for information on the back of your business card.

Each of these ideas gives the person receiving your card a reason to hold on to the card. Work on getting your business card into the hands of as many people as possible. Make sure you’ve also given them a reason to hold on to your card.
