SEO is divided into on page optimization and off page optimization. On page is which can be done to website itself and off page is which is done away from the website. Creation of right title for a webpage is classified as on page optimization. On the other hand creation of inbound links and their anchor text is termed as off page optimization.

On page optimization is one of the forms of search engine optimization. This acts as the vital requirement which is necessary to improve website rankings in major search engines like Google, yahoo and msn. In this process the elements of website are designed in this way that website is able to qualify for high search engine ranking on the basis of certain specific keywords. These are the basics which are often ignored by webmaster. They try to spend most of their time getting links to their site. If you want to make a successful online web presence, on page optimization is must. In on page optimization you need to have keyword in title tag and should also appear few times on the page.

Your website is focused on a theme, service or product. You need to select a unique keyword for it and this is the keyword on the main index page. Rest is secondary keywords associated with the main keyword. So there should be separate pages for secondary and associating keywords.

Your web page title tag must contain the keyword. It should be that word which you are targeting on a specific page. Do not use irrelevant words or website name in your keywords.

Make two sitemaps for your website. One site map is for a visitor that is in html format and other is for search engine which is in xml form.

Put quality content in all the pages of website and interlink on those pages on the basis of keywords used in the content.

Put emphasis on the keyword density. Keyword need to be there related with the product, services or the theme of the web page. Only on the basis of these the users are able to search for it in the search engines. Make sure keyword should used for a selected number of times so that keyword stuffing does not occur. So recommended keyword density is 5%.

Ensure your target keywords are used in h1 tag and displayed as strong italic and bold text wherever required. Make a practice to use the keyword in your opening paragraph at least once or twice and near to the bottom of page.

Every page of the website must have two Meta tags in the head section and other for your web page description and other for your web page main and secondary keywords.

Do not build a website with many pages in a short time, the search engines see the steady growth of website with the content and the number of pages they search for. Focus on providing the visitors the relevant information which they require.

Every image on the website must have an associated alt tag that must describe the image and include the content part.

Put emphasis on the inbound links.

Thus on page optimization factors are the base for search engine optimization for a website and which can not be ignored.

Unfortunately, we’ve all seen all of these and more. So..how can you tell if it’s a scam?

Here are the number one signs of a Data Entry scam:

3) Statement saying you will make $xxx amount of dollars in a short time
4) Free hosted website

YOU should always research any Data Entry or any type of job before applying. You can research a company at the sites below:

A “real job” is when YOU work for an employer/company, and are not charged any registration or start-up fees. Now, there are a few exceptions to this rule…

Here are a couple of examples: A Transcription job may require you to have a foot pedal. You may also be requested to have a background check.

The important thing to remember here is again, always do your own research on any company. And also remember…use your instincts, if it looks too good to be true, then it most probably is.
There really are legitimate “Data Entry” positions out there…they are just snatched up very quickly. Quite frankly…it really is a matter of being at the right place at the right time.

The legitimate positions actually require you to have “Data Entry” experience and of course, the required equipment…which would include: Internet access, a broadband connection, email account, and sometimes some software is required. The employer will also ask you to submit a resume.

A resume is a brief written summary of your skills and experience. It is an overview of who you are and a tool to present yourself to employers. The goal of a well-written resume is to gain a job interview. Write a brief description of your experience and skills. Write your resume to describe how your skills will meet the employer’s needs. Make it attractive, emphasize your most recent jobs, and always proofread it for grammar, punctuation and spelling errors.

Also, it is well advised to include a cover letter that accompanies your resume. The cover letter should pursuade the employer to read your resume. Present yourself as professionally as possible. Most often, the reason for being rejected from an employer is due to a poorly written resume and cover letter. Always pay close attention to your resume and cover letter and check and re-check them for any errors before submitting to an empoyer.

Good News for Medical Transcriptionists

With the rise in both the popularity of voice recognition (VR) software as well as outsourcing of transcription work overseas, the professional forecast can seem a bit gloomy for the average work-from-home medical transcriptionist these days. As a veteran MT with eighteen years experience, I can tell you that I have, indeed, lost accounts to VR. I can only wonder if any of the clients I couldn’t hold onto were lured by outsourcing. However, I would hardly conclude that the MT’s days are numbered. In fact, I believe that with a little fine-tuning of one’s personal and professional goals, today’s transcriptionist can be just as busy and successful as ever.

Change Your Mindset
Anyone who works in an industry that is undergoing rapid change is likely to feel anxious. Many times this worry comes from having a scarcity mentality—thinking that there simply isn’t enough work to go around. Common bothersome thoughts may include:
• The fear that one’s job may become obsolete
• Concern that someone younger and less experienced may take one’s job away
• Not daring to raise one’s fees when other options for clients might exist that appear more affordable to them

These thoughts may lead an experienced transcriptionist to take on a client at a much lower rate than is reasonable given her level of skill. And all this stems from doubts about her value in the current marketplace. Well, I’m here to tell you that medical transcriptionists are still very much needed. The US Department of Labor estimated that 105,000 MT’s were working in 2004. To some, that might appear to be a lot. But if you think about how many Americans have medical records,105,000 seems like a measly number of workers to be typing all those reports! I believe we don’t have enough medical transcriptionists. So I suggest that MT’s make a major switch in mindset from scarcity to plenty.

Persistence Pays Off

Because most transcription seems to be accessed through the platform of downloading audio files swiftly via the computer, it almost seems laughable that a doctor might still dictate into a tape recorder and that the MT would use a desktop transcriber as well as—gasp!—cassette tapes in order to carry out the work. Believe me, this scenario still plays out. And it is one of the more profitable accounts an MT can get, in fact. A physician who just “doesn’t trust” what to him or her might be the new technology of voice recognition may very well feel more comfortable dictating reports the way he or she has always done.

I believe these are the best accounts to acquire and I happen to know that physicians do exist who dictate onto cassette tapes! Recently, the Medical Records department of a local hospital offered an excellent rate for transcription of their tapes, which were done as a back-up to the more sophisticated equipment they were using. Yes, jobs like this might include pick-up-and-delivery of the reports, but that is something that an MT can factor into the price as it is a service that few will offer.

My advice? Query the Medical Records department of regional hospitals as well as individual physicians and see if they are interested in your services. This is where it is essential to have a superbly-written sales letter as well as excellent people skills when you meet the department director or physician. Persistence will pay off when you dedicate yourself to landing these types of accounts.

A Goldmine of Transcription

Sometimes MT’s seem to forget all about general transcription. GT, as it’s called, definitely has its advantages. Every industry has its own lingo and terminology. However, in my opinion, nothing is as difficult to learn as medicalese. And while just about every medical report seems to be a stat report, folks who transcribe more general reports routinely ask for higher rates when the required turnaround deems that a job is a “rush.” The relaxed turnaround seems to give the transcriptionist more room to breathe, and personally, I find this type of work to be less stressful.

I am saving the best news for last: with the popularity of teleseminars, Webinars and podcasts, it seems like just about everyone has some audio that needs to be transcribed. In the last six months I’ve had more requests to type general than medical audio. These clients just find me. But do you want to know where to get clients who are in a field that uses a lot of transcription? Coaching! That’s right—personal and business coaches do their fair share of teleseminars and each of these needs a transcript. And with coaching deemed one of the hottest professions of the next ten years, that’s indeed good news for transcriptionists.

Newsletters Can Help Your Small Business Keep Customers

One key to keeping clients coming back for more is to make sure that they don’t forget about your small business and the services it provides. This doesn’t mean barraging customers with junk mail or spam, but by balancing your marketing efforts to provide value. One great way to do this is with newsletters.

Newsletters can be electronic or paper or a combination of both.

Print Newsletters

For established customers, a quarterly or monthly newsletter is a great way to keep you business fresh in their minds while providing valuable information related to your area of expertise. For example, my investment advisor sends out a quarterly, four-page traditional type newsletter filled with great tips that are relevant to the time of year. I love getting it because the information is great; and for him, well he’s my go to guy when it comes to financial questions. His newsletter is not only establishing him as an expert, but also helping to build the relationship with me, his client.

The newsletter can be as large or as small as you want, the important thing is to provide valuable, relevant information that your customers will want to receive. You can write the pieces yourself, or there are several resources online for free reprint articles on tons of subjects. You can also hire someone to write the pieces for you – it’s more affordable than you may realize and unlike reprint pieces, these will be attributed to you (no references to other businesses with the same expertise).

Electronic Newsletters

An electronic newsletter is similar to a traditional one in content, however, there are considerations. CAN-Spam laws need to be taken into consideration when sending the newsletter as do delivery options. There are many services available that will help to make sure your newsletter is compliant with anti-spam laws as well as manage your list and delivery options and I strongly recommend using one.

I don’t recommend sending more than once a month unless you have valuable information your customers will want to know. Also remember, people get LOTS of email, so over-sending is one way to ensure your e-mails will end up in the trash or your subscribers will UN-subscribe.

Which is Better: Print or Electronic?

The answer to this question is dependent on your market. In some cases a combination of the two can work affectively as well. You will have to determine what your customer demographics are and which option would be most effective for your small business.

My mantra is “Communication, communication, communication,” and newsletters are just one more way to get your message to your customers. By sharing your valuable knowledge with your customers you are reinforcing the value of your small business and supporting the relationship you have with your customers. I encourage you to take the first step and start thinking about ways a newsletter can work for your small business.

Residual Income the Wise Choice for a Work at Home Business

Whether you have a full-time job and want to earn some extra bucks online or you are a stay-at-home parent who is looking for a way to make ends meet, the internet is your best bet for a work at home solution.

Often the first choice people make when looking to build a work from home business is the affiliate program.

There are two types of affiliate programs online: the ones that pay a one-time commission, and the ones that pay residual income. For many new online entrepreneurs who desire to make money through the work at home business sector, it is in your best interest to look for the residual income program. The reason for choosing such a program is that you receive recurring payments when others sign up under you for that program, product, or service.

Choosing continuous income over a one-shot payment is often the most attractive choice for long-term business success.

However, choose carefully. Many of the residual-income programs require heavy amounts of marketing and advertising. Too often the come-on to enroll is offered for free. This is an attractive incentive, but only for a limited few. The ultimate goal, of course, is your ability to get your “signups” to upgrade to the paying level. For many in your downline, this will never happen. You can end up with hundreds or thousands who have joined under you, but if no one upgrades your income is not going to change.

So choosing the best kind of residual income program is to your advantage. The benefit to a residual income program is that once your signup also commits to the program, and for as long as they remain in the program, you earn money from their placement and their actions. Your “job,” therefore, is to actively seek additional people to join with you. They join because they also see the benefits of and appreciate the merits to the service. And, since you are paid over and over from your downline, you are in essence earning residual income.

Now think about that… Imagine your earning potential! Your income can skyrocket once you have discovered how to make hundreds (or thousands) a month in long term residual income. Once you successfully master that skill, and with good training and leadership from the program is it possible, you just repeat the process.

The downside to doing nothing but pursuing the downline-building portion of any chosen program is that as you manically recruit, you can actually earn less money. The surefire, solid way to build a business online and work from home is to build a solid customer base and teach others to do it, too. Never drop the ball! Less successful work at home affiliates are less successful because they do nothing but pursue the next lead or signup. Ignoring those that have chosen to work with you is tantamount to failure! You must schedule the time and attention your signups will need to ensure their success and your continuous flow of residual income. The affiliate program, when done correctly, can be a huge money maker for all.

Nothing beats having a work from home business that you can take anywhere in the world and run! Make money while you sleep, vacation, or even - heaven forbid - if you are hospitalized. The benefits to joining the correct work at home business are the residual income (of course) and the need to no longer develop your own new products and backend services. You find the service or products you yourself believe in and promote that service. You put 100% of yourself into your decision, stop flitting here and there on the net in search of the unattainable “overnight success” and hunker down to earn a living online.

Do set yourself goals. Apply yourself totally to achieving your goals. Choose a program whose longevity adds weight to that program, and one that offers real one-on-one training and support. Taking advantage of a great program with good mentoring increases your chances for earning that true work from home income. Take your dream out of “dreamland,” and make it happen!
